THE TONES & TEXTURES

At Cloymia, we do not simply select leather; we study its behavior. As both designers and makers, we consider how each material will respond to structure, movement, and time before the first cut is made.

Riva

The cornerstone of our architectural identity. A firm top-grain leather with a disciplined matte surface and subtle luster, reserved for our most structured units, where it preserves sharp, enduring silhouettes.

Textured Grain

Soft, yet structurally assured. Its natural depth helps conceal the passage of daily use while introducing tactile dimension. Used for more fluid forms, or as a point of contrast against Riva’s precision.

Calf Suede

Velvety and deeply tactile. Its fine nap responds delicately to touch and light, introducing softness, warmth, and tonal depth within a geometric form.

Samba

Our purest expression of the hide. As a full-grain leather, it retains the natural variation of the surface, offering a more organic character, a supple hand-feel, and a quiet structural strength.

Lining & Internal Structure

At Cloymia, the integrity of a unit does not depend on leather alone. Interior linings and support materials are selected with equal consideration, allowing each form to hold its character with balance, softness, and endurance.

Lining

Chosen for both touch and performance, our linings contribute to the quiet refinement of the interior while supporting daily use.

Support Materials

Used with restraint and precision, internal support elements help preserve structure, control flexibility, and maintain the intended silhouette over time.

Zippers

Where a closure requires it, we use YKK Excella zippers selected for their precision, smooth movement, and elevated finish. They are chosen not only for performance, but for the clarity they bring to the overall construction.

Hardware

Our hardware is developed from zamac and brass, then finished with a thick, high-quality coating for durability, visual depth, and lasting refinement. Each element is selected to complement the geometry of the form without excess.

Thread

We use durable, high-quality nylon thread chosen for strength, longevity, and clean construction. Its role is quiet but essential: to secure the unit with precision while maintaining visual discipline.

Bonding & Construction

The unseen elements matter as much as the visible ones. Adhesives and bonding materials are chosen with care to support durability, structure, and long-term balance never as shortcuts, but as part of a controlled construction process.
